On their third LP "Narrenkönig", 'Schandmaul' stays true to themselves and medieval power folk. However, they have become more versatile and improved their style. The often dark themes of bands in this genre is not part of this 1998 founded sextet from Bavaria's repertoire. They instead focus on making music to dance to (underlined by two instrumentals) and fun entertainment – elements that are very apparent on this album!
