Symphonic extreme Heavy Metal band from Stockholm - founded and led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Zorn. After parting ways with Dark Funeral, he was determined to shake up the traditional 'metal-meets-symphony' approach with his new band Zornheym. Zornheym quickly developed from an ambitious idea into a dramatic musical and narrative concept revolving around the horrors of a psychiatric institution and its inmates. Four years after the doors of the asylum were first conceptualized, they were finally opened with the release of the debut album. Where Hate Dwells and Darkness Reigns. 'This album introduced the horrifying concept of the asylum and the terrifying characters within it. Zornheym's sound has been described as powerful and cinematic, and the second album invites you to continue this experience in 'The Zornheim Sleep Experiment', which takes place deep within the institution. With a real choir and string quartet, they once again create their sonic wall and bring the story to life in a graphic novel that accompanies and expands upon the album's stories.
Zornheym made their debut at the French Motocultor Festival, and they have continued to deliver their energetic, bombastic experiences at many other festivals and venues throughout Europe.
