At first sight, the busy bees of New Metal, front man Chad Gray and his boys, seem to be pretty low-key on their fifth studio album, simply titled "Mudvayne", with its inconspicuous white cover artwork... But - as usual - you must take a close second look to discover the secrets of this capricious band from Peoria/Illinois. You can only see the artwork under black light - and the cover artist is none less than tattoo icon Paul Booth! And of course, Muvayne have some real musical aces up their sleeves once again, too, presenting us with interesting opposites such as melody vs. toughness, and Metal vs. Alternative Rock. Modern, funky, sophisticated and extremely atmospheric - that's 100% Mudvayne. Check out "Scream with me", "All talk", and "1000 mile journey" - these songs should be played at your next Metal party!
