"Les disquaires indépendants font partie de l'ADN de Metallica (...) Nous ne pouvions pas être plus fiers d'être les patrons du Record Store Day..." raconte le batteur Lars Ulrich. A l'occasion de ce Record Store Day, le groupe sortira deux coffrets exclusifs de leurs albums "Kill 'Em All" et "Ride The Lightning" le 16 Avril. Chaque coffret Deluxe contient des enregistrements issus de la collection personnelle du groupe. Vous y retrouverez plusieurs disques totalement inédits ainsi que des livres avec des photographies rares et des notes du groupe.
Les coffrets numérotés contiennent : des concerts, des interviews, des chutes de studio ainsi que des enregistrements inédits.
Le coffret Deluxe numéroté de "Ride The Lightning" contient 4 vinyles (l'album remasterisé, le concert "Live At The Hollywood Palladium" (2LP), "Creeping Death" (Picture Disc), 6 CDs (album remasterisé, interview, démos et mixes bruts, 4 concerts), 1 DVD (concert "Live At The Metal Hammer Festival", concert "Live At MTV’s Day On The Green", Danish TV special), 1 livre (72 pages avec photographies inédites) et 1 mini livre avec textes manuscrits de James Hetfield.
