The Dark Tenor has been impressing us with his cross between classical and modern music since 2014. The American singer and songwriter integrates world-renowned classic arrangements with the sounds of contemporary rock and pop songs, delighting younger fans and those who aren’t so into classical music. Brutal sounds, epochal shows and delicate moments of emotion make his music stand out from the crowd. “I have been on an unbelievable journey,” is the artist’s summary of the past five years. “The Dark Tenor started as a project where I could fuse all my passions together. In recent years, this has turned into a vision to make classical music accessible to all. Out of the elite circles and into the mainstream.” The musician has been able to bring joy to a large number of people by captivating audiences during his numerous tours across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as his gold and chart-reaching album releases. “It’s now time to say thank you to my fans for their loyal support. They’ve always wanted me to release a live album. Here it is! ‘Alive – 5 Years’ presents a wonderful and true image of my live concerts,” the musician said describing his album. “We captured incredible moments that you would never hear on a studio album and deliver them directly from the stage to my fans as a way to say thanks for their support. My band and my team have created some amazing recordings.”

Another smashing release from The Dark Tenor. Along with the standard album, there’s also a limited-edition anniversary fan box, limited to 2,000 copies. “For the fan box, I went through the whole The Dark Tenor archive and have found many incredible moments that I want to share. The CD booklet includes some previously unpublished tour photos that brought a smile to my face every now and then. The rare ‘Access All Areas’ passes from previous tours evoke many memories. To celebrate the five-year anniversary, I’ve had The Dark Tenor emblem re-designed. It’s featured on the fan box’s loop scarf, as well as the key ring and lanyard that are also included in the fan box. There’s also a DVD with previously un-released live videos for the songs ‘Fade’, ‘Change’ and many more. The fan box is a fantastic collection of memories from the past five years.” Five fans can also expect a truly unique surprise, as five of the fan boxes each contain one lifetime concert ticket that gives the owner lifetime access to every The Dark Tenor concert anywhere in the world (ticket is valid for concert tours, standard ticket conditions and the ticket is non-transferable). “I’m super excited to see which five fans will come to all of my future concerts,” says The Dark Tenor with a laugh. The lifetime ticket is of course also valid for the ‘Laut & Akustisch Tour 2019’, which The Dark Tenor is beginning in October 2019.
